The mission of Hospitality House, a regional nonprofit transitional living facility and crisis assistance resource center serving seven rural N.C. counties, is to rebuild lives and strengthen community by providing a safe, nurturing and healthy environment in which individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty-related crises are equipped to become self-sufficient and productive.

The Ashe County Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit voluntary membership association that serves as the unified voice for nearly 500 member businesses, individuals, and non-profits in and around the High Country. The Chamber also operates the Ashe County Visitor Center in downtown West Jefferson, welcoming all who explore the coolest corner of North Carolina.
