NC Guardian ad Litem Program is a division of the NC Administrative Office of the Courts under the NC Judicial Branch. The mission of the NCGAL program is to recruit, train, and supervise individuals from the community who volunteer to be a child's advocate. These children are in foster care due to abuse, neglect, and dependency. Child advocates collaborate with GAL Attorney Advocates and GAL Supervisors to determine the children's best interest and help them achieve a safe, permanent home.
